ArmInfo.Non-combat deaths in Armenia's army is one of the most acute issues, Armenia's Minister  of Defense Suren Papikyan told the RA Public TV. 

ArmInfo.On September 6, on the regulated crossing of the Spitak-Vanadzor section, an accident occurred with the participation of a freight train and a car.

ArmInfo.The "South Caucasian Railway" company in order to prevent road accidents on the railway on September 9 held a "Save the Life" safety campaign.   According to the press service of the SCR, within the framework of  the campaign, drivers of vehicles at crossings across railway tracks  were provided with information materials on the rules for safe  crossing of tracks.

According to the analyzed data from the media and  official sources, in the first quarter of this year, 16 deaths were  recorded in the armed forces of Armenia and Artsakh.

ArmInfo. The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide Armenia with a grant of 4 million 250 thousand euros to improve road safety, in particular on the M-6 road  section and in the south. On November 7, the Armenian government  approved the proposal to sign the corresponding grant agreement.

ArmInfo.The office of the Deputy President of the National Assembly, Vahe Enfiajyan, announces holding of a meeting of the working group on the preparation of a legislative  initiative providing for stricter responsibility for traffic  offenses. This is stated in the statement of Enfiajyan's office,  distributed on Monday, July 15, in connection with the recently fatal  accidents that have become more frequent in Armenia.

ArmInfo.The introduction of a scoring system for assessing traffic offenses will help to increase traffic safety, as well as significantly ease the social burden on drivers.  This point of view at today's press conference was expressed by the  ex-deputy head of the Traffic Police, now NA deputy from "My step"  Armen Khachatryan, commenting on the legislative initiative of the  Cabinet to revise the fines system for violating traffic rules.
